Hi! I'm Connie Bratcher, an independent senior sales director with Mary Kay
cosmetics. I enjoy shopping with your boutique for the latest trends! You &
your staff provide such wonderful customer service! I really appreciate
great service! May I briefly share about a unique service that I offer? I
enjoy partnering with businesses to provide an additional service to your
customers. Mary Kay has a gorgeous color cosmetic line that is on trend with
the fashion industry.
What would this look like? I can provide an attractive product display, a
complimentary product giveaway, and complimentary samplers to your customers
and clientele. The best times for events are typically in conjunction with
special sales events, customer appreciation days, or friends and family
sales that you offer. Two hour time slots generally work best. I cross
-promote to my friends and my customers to attend the event as well.

Would you consider scheduling an event in the next couple of weeks? Do you
have a specific date in mind?
Great, I will contact you in the next couple of days to compare our
schedules. I'm so excited for the opportunity to partner with you, your
employees, and your boutique . May I ask you how many employees you
currently have? Thank you!
Please enjoy this gift as a token of my appreciation for your time today.

1 to 2 days after introduction:
Follow up is key!! Follow up 1 to 2 days with an in-store visit to schedule
the event. Face-to-face is always best!
I have a small gift bag for each employee, (Handcream and lip color samplers
and a mint). In addition, I also bring a foot and leg massage treatment
lotion for their break room, and share instructions with them on use.
I ask permission to give each employee a goody bag. Please make it a point
to give each individual the goody bag , as much as possible, around their
work. You are there to enhance their business, not to take away from their
work. Be mindful of other customers they are assisting.

Day of the event:
Bring everything you will need to set up on a small card table:
-Limited-edition seasonal products
-your business cards in an attractive business card holder -customer slips
for product giveaways/fish bowl/ box for your drawing/ink pens
-lipstick/lipgloss samplers: neutral colors
-A few beauty books /look books
-an attractive black tablecloth and/or Mary Kay banner
-dress professionally/skirt or dress
-wear MK Pin/name tag -SMILE -greet customers and invite to come by for a
free sampler
-do not sit

Partnering also consists of coaching employees to promote you while you are
there. Employees encourage customers to visit table for free samplers, and
to register for the product giveaways. They also share with customers they
are not obligated to make any purchases to enter.
At the end of the two hour slot I have a manager select the product winner
from all the customers who entered.
An important detail that will set you apart is sending Thank you notes!
Be sure to send a heart felt thank you note to the management ASAP! Thank
her and the employees!

I follow up with the winner, and all entries in the next 2-4 days.
Building relationships with the manager and employees is a crucial element
to future events. You are building credibility and trust with them, and an
ongoing partnership. Before you know it they will start calling to schedule
the events with you!!
